Andy will be leading our particpation in the event of Light Up Southwold Event Details Saturday, November 28th 2026 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Lights switched on at 5:00 PM) Location: Southwold Market Place, High Street, and Town Hall Balcony Light Up Southwold is a small, volunteer-run community group responsible for organising and funding the annual Southwold Christmas Lights and the festive switch-on event. The Light Up Volunteers formed the group in in 2023 Thanking Adnams PLC and all the local businesses for their donations , together withh the general public. Blyth Valley Rotary are hoping to make a positve difference to this day. Advent Calendar 2026

The Blyth Valley Rotary Advent Calendar is a major charity initiative, where the club highlights and distributes donations to different local and international, causes each day, throughout December. The countdown reveals a donation funded by the club's year-round community fundraising efforts If our fundraising funds allow, we try and give £350 to each Charity or Groups. Members choose the Charities for 2026. The amount is decided by the Treasurer and Trustees.

Reydon Christmas Lights Switch on Saturday 5th December 2026 Starts 5pm Light Switch-on 6pm on Jubilee Green Reydon IP18 6GY

Reydon Christmas Lights switch-on event has become a community event. This is the centrepiece of the celebration, as Reydon is lit up with Christmas Lights on Bridgefoot Corner and Jubilee Green, Reydon.

Throughout the year, the Christmas Lights fundraising team work tirelessly to raise the funds needed to Light up Reydon

Traditional Christmas Carols, Wrentham Brass Band, Southwold and Reydon Choral Society and a special visitor will make an appearance.  Blyth Valley Rotary organised the celebration evening,  providing hot refreshments to purchase, which helps fund the evening for the community.
